Deep in the Barahona region of the Dominican Republic, our healing paradise awaits. A hidden gem where freshwater cascades turn into natural pools and birding heavens are tucked amid mountain ranges. This retreat is a five day magical voyage nestled in the Sierra Barahuco Mountains and the shimmering Caribbean below. Your time spent with us will bring you back to a healthy level of energy and connect you to what is sacred.
Our days will begin with a heart opening vinyasa yoga practice led by Shayne Cohen (open for all levels.) Followed by outdoor adventures that will make you feel one with nature. Through the practice of self-love, yoga, breath work, meditation, sound baths, kirtan, temazcal, organic food, daily nature excursions, and wellness treatments we will open our Anahata Chakra and find spiritual grounding through these holistic healing methods.
Barahona province is in the southern part of the Dominican Republic. This stunning area is home to multiple ecosystems where unique species, including over one hundred varieties of birds, make their home. Complementing this magnificent wilderness, are rivers cascading down to meet the Caribbean Ocean. Caves tucked in thick fern forests leading you towards refreshing blue sinkholes natural pools.
Our home, Casa Bonita, is a proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The site offers the most unforgettable ocean and river views, ensconced within the tropical jungle of The Sierra Barahuco Mountains. Casa Bonita is a wellspring of energy, a place where you will feel supported and recharged.
Location
The property has twelve Deluxe rooms, each featuring a private balcony overlooking the jungle and sea view. Deluxe King rooms are outfitted with a king sized bed. Deluxe Double rooms have two queen size beds.
There are five River Suites, each its own private villa. This area of the hotel is settled inside the forest overlooking Rio Sito. The Villas include a large terrace with view of the river, private outdoor bathroom with private jacuzzi.

Start your mornings with a Vinyasa Yoga, meditation and chanting led by Shayne Cohen.
Vinyasa Yoga is an energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while synchronizing their breath to their movements. Shayne’s classes integrate a dynamic flow with the application of precise alignment, meditation, visualization, intention and chanting to create an inner journey towards healing and empowerment.
Each class is designed to systematically stimulate the organs, glands, nervous system and move freshly oxygenated blood to the entire body as you release tension and simultaneously develop faith and intuition.

Reiki, "universal-life force energy", is a beautiful ancient Japanese method of working with spiritual energy, intention, and your intuition. Reiki is a used to balance your chakra energies, to cleanse and balance your aura. It is a gentle and safe healing practice geared towards removing energy blocks in our system caused by emotional, mental or physical stress and pain.

This massage works the whole body through circular, detoxifying form massage strokes; it is deeply relaxing for the Nervous system and detoxifying for the body in general. There is lymphatic drainage, reflexology point stimulation, marma point activation and some Indian head massage included. It’s wonderful!

Yes, as of today proof of COVID 19 vaccination is mandatory to enter Morocco.

If you are flying from Miami we recommend flying with us as a group. Once you book your spot we will send you flight details for booking. We will be departing from Miami the night of April 19th with a layover in Madrid, arriving the next day in Marrakech.

If you are traveling with the group transportation to and from the hotel is included in the retreat package.
For those in different flight, we will be happy to assist you with transportation at your cost.

We will be mostly serving a pescatarian traditional Moroccan cuisine. Plenty of options will be available for vegetarians. Please let us know in advance if you have any restrictions, we will be happy to accommodate you.

You can reserve your spot directly on our website or by emaling us. A reservation requires a 50% none-refundable deposit. Cancellations are non-refundable.
The remaining balance is due prior to March 1st, 2023.

Bathing suits, yoga clothes, shorts, tee shirts, sneakers and a light sweater in case the night at the desert is chilly. Some tours will require women to wear long pants or skirts.
